State of affairs

In the known and common universe of an apartment to be rented, the compagny’s new work will explore threw 26 words, 26 recesses, 26 installations, the condition of the women living in occident today.

The visit of an apartment as the visit of oneself, of what we inevitably know by living in one, by what we know of people who live in one; an empty apartment as re-discovery of those that we all know: women. Women of on our premises, of almost on our premises or to a little further, but not so far finally.

With gravity, humor, realism, stereotypes, sensitivity and tenderness we’ll explore the alphabet.

To be ready to pass in the adulthood and to leave the family home, our grand mothers embroidered spelling-books. Behind each letter we will put a word having sense with today’s woman condition.

An empty apartment, full of sadness with traces of frameworks on soiled walls, but also the hope which emanates from this space, projections of the life, a new life in new walls. But especially to question the condition of women in the place which has been their symbol such a long time: the home.

Accommodated on the landing by our crew, each spectator visits at his rate the various rooms, carries out the visit as good seems to him… from A to Z or in the disorder, by visual, auditive or olfactive affinities.

There is no guide, not plan, each person discovers the universe carried out by the company Entre Chien et Loup alone, with its opinions, its generally accepted ideas and its education.

Time of reflection, facts, transmission, spectacle quite simply.

The installation and the fitting of the 26 installations will be specific to each apartment.

There is no perfect apartment, not perfect woman and their condition is even less.

Duration: approximately an hour in the apartment, more or less if affinities.
